I'm so excited to be included in this year's Swop N Hop!

Although I haven't done much beading due to health reasons,  I am looking forward to this Hop. I look forward to meeting new friends and catching up with old friends and being introduced to new ideas and materials.

2020 swap

 Good morning all...we're into our 2020 Swap n Hop!

Below is what my partner Colleen Foley sent to me...

My wheels are spinning! Can't wait to start creating..stay tuned!

Here I used the red,white n blue beads! Using red in a focal design.

 Next I used the ceramic camouflage heart, some of the black round beads and some of the green beads to create this set.

This design has the off white rounds that I received. I found a matching cab that I wire wrapped.

 Here I used the round pink beads as spacers. Again finding a pink focal to wrap. Can you tell I'm into wire wrapping?

Next I mixed the round green beads with larger green gold beads.

Finally, included in my bag of goodies was this focal which I surrounded with square honey gold beads..

Well now, 3 posts in one month! Go figure..I'm always looking out for new and different techniques...t-shirt necklaces - for those who are allergic to metals this is for you. Imagine a jewelry designer who is allergic to her own jewelry!? I've made several to mix n match to go with my outfits...Hopefully you will like them too.

FanciMar Designs has entered the above bead swap! We are excited to be introduced to sew beady buddy who has already introduced me to new new  technique called Lucent braiding! I briefly watched a YouTube video on it, seems it is centuries old.  I can't wait to try it.  Christina Hickman is my partner. Stay tuned for exciting things ahead..

These are the beads that I received. Tiny pearls, aqua pearls, black rounds beads, obsidian chips, shiny silver rondelle and a silver key

Well I've joined the cataract club!  My first surgery was on June 2, 2016.  I was surprised that hey allowed/wanted my daughter to view the procedure from a room off of the waiting area! Boy, technology is something else.. I didn't have any complications during or after. The next day the only problem I had was sensitivity to light. I was not allowed to drive, go near dust, or lift heavy objects. My next surgery is in two weeks! I will only need reading glasses after that. Whoopi  So here is me after the first go round...

                                     Evening Elegance Challenge...1/30/16

First of all, let me thank Lisa for coming up with these challenges and for all of her hard work and dedication.    These are the beads that I was given for the "Evening Elegance Challenge".. White Rice pearls, navy round pearls, taupe rondells, and a crystal tube.

I have made three different sets using my challenge beads.  Here is the first...

 Here I used some cloisonné beads to create these lovely dangle earrings..

 I used the white pearls AND the blue pearls to create this cross bracelet.

Here I used all of the components in this set.

Well it's a beautiful fall day here in Columbus. I've decided to try and sell some of my cabs because my cufflinks sales are down. I have seen lots of new slabs that I want to purchase for 2015.  See the pictures below and hope you find something of interest.
